For all the hype surrounding Android and its support of Adobe Flash, the true facts show us that Google’s OS is all about smoke and mirrors — the leading smartphone remains the Apple iPhone, at least when it comes to actually being used.
A UK Freedom of Information request confirms the big difference between the two platforms.
While Android phones do support some form of Flash for some reason, they do so at the expense of choice, and only handsets running the latest version of Android, v.2.2, can access the Flash mob.
Apple seems to have caught up with iPad demand, but iPhone 4 is still in short supply
The Apple Store is now shipping all iPad models within 24 hours. This means that Apple has now plenty of supply to satisfy iPad demand across the nation. We will now possibly see the iPad pop up at Amazon and other retailers.
The iPhone 4 seems to actually be in shorter supply than before. The Apple Store states now that the 16GB and 32GB black iPhone 4 ship in 3 weeks. The white iPhone 4 is of course still not available at all.
Apple is rumored to unleash a new smaller iPad this Fall. We might even see it at the Apple Media event scheduled for September 1st.
