We know that redsn0w can serve as an iOS 4.0.2 jailbreak for the iPhone 3G, but what about the iPhone 3G S? This is where the upcoming Snowbreeze v2.0 will come in handy.

This new iPhone jailbreak has just added support for iOS 4.0.2
allowing users to install a custom firmware of this new iOS release on
their iPhone 3G (old bootrom), iPhone 3G, 3G iPod Touch, and 2G iPod
Touch. Unfortunately, there’s still no release info yet on when Sn0wbreeze v2.0 might be released.
Be that as it may, there’s no real immediate need for this new sn0wbreeze iPhone jailbreak yet thanks to the PDF Patch
developed by Saurik which addresses the same security issue as iOS
4.0.2 thus allowing users to forego this particular firmware update.
