Unlock iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0.2 And Unlock iPhone 4 & All Of Its Glory

To say that unlocking the iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0 and unlock iphone 4 is interesting and will be wonderful is probably the understatement of the year.

When Apple released the news of the iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.x the hacks went to work in droves to figure out how to unlock or jail break the iPhone 3G/3GS/iOS 4.0 and the iphone 4. The unlock iPhone 3G/iOS 4.0 was one of the most anticipated releases of this century and unlocking it became a priority.  Unlocking the iPhone 3G/iOS 4.0 will allow one to use the phone on any network, not just AT&T’s.

As a matter of fact, unlocking the iPhone 3G/iOS 4.0 is the most requested hack out there.  As previously stated; unlock  iPhone 3G/3gs/iOS 4.0 and unlock iphone 4 means that it will be able to be used on any network.  There have been a couple of people out there who have claimed to unlock, or jail break, the iPhone 3G/3.1.3/iOS 4.0 unfortunately these claims turned out to be preposterous and have done nothing but fill us with false hopes and dreams that were then shattered.  The good news however is that it seems that a few have actually gained access to the iPhone 3G/3.1.3/iOS 4.0 file system which brings us that much closer to unlocking the iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0.

Word on the unlock  iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0 street is that it is not just the hacks that are streaming in thick and fast; there are also a series of full blown web applications that are pretty damn impressive.  Probably the application so far is the “iChat for iPhone” which provides the user with the unique capability of being able to access AIM and use the instant messenger feature…talk about saving you on texting!

There is a writer at GigaOm that claims to have unlocked the entirety of the system with the exception of the telephone, instant messaging and voicemail.  While a fantastic accomplishment indeed, the fact remains that he has not unlocked the iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0 which means that the iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0 is pretty much useless as far as practicality goes but it does mean that people are putting fervent effort into the tremendous task which makes me happy.

iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0 software can be downloaded at iPhone Applications on the internet however there is one problem.  Although that you can find any application that you want on the internet none are readily applicable until the iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0  is unlocked.  So until we can get one of these hacks to unlock the iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0 then we won’t be able to access the full capabilities of a jail broken iPhone 3G/3GS/4.0.  Until that day we will just have to be satisfied with using the applications that Apple says we can use on the network that they say we can use them on.  It won’t be long however before the proverbial man will no longer be able to hold us down!
