Verizon iPhone Rumors Heat Up Again

Verizon iPhone Rumors Heat Up Again- “iPhone developer guru wanted” by CDMA chip maker Qualcomm

Qualcomm, the inventor of the CDMA chipset which Apple would use if it were manufacturing iPhones for Verizon, had an interesting job listed on its website. The company seems to be searching for an iPhone developer guru.

The position description says:

The iPhone has no secret for you? Well, that’s what you think… join us and develop the most challenging product of your life!

The job specs, which include Objective C (the language in which iPhone Apps are written), seem to be right on the money, and when you click on the link to apply, you remain on Qualcomm’s site, which certinly make the job posting seem authentic.

Now, if you’re like me, you may be wondering how something like this could have been exposed to the public when involves product development at the very secretive Apple?

Easy. Qualcomm isn’t Apple and some distracted manager probably loaded his requirements into the job portal without giving secrecy too much thought.

Now, it  might be worth noting that the CDMA iPhone could go to someone other than Verizon. But, given the quality of Verizon service in cities like New York and San Francisco, where AT&T service is so unreliable, Verizon is Apple’s best bet if it wants to retain iPhone buyers and have a chance at attracting new ones.
