Now that the iPhone 4 “antennagate” controversy is seemingly over, the masses have focused their attention to what could be the greatest iPhone ever. We of course are referring to the Verizon iPhone, which is rumored to be released in early 2011.

Within the talks of the Verizon iPhone, however, many folks are curious; will the CDMA-compatible iPhone sport the iPhone 4 antenna design?
The answer, according to ComputerWorld source is quite simply yes. The source, Spencer Webb, says that “The antenna design is architecturally fixed in the design, and it would take [Apple] a while to make whatever the next design is.”
That very same ComputerWorld source notes that Apple intends on keeping the iPhone 4′s external antenna around for quite a while — potentially for the next two iterations — following the somewhat similar designs between the first generation iPhone and the iPhone 3GS.
