According to reports, both Verizon Wireless and AT&T are testing their 4G systems. Verizon will reportedly start its fast 4G LTE service by the end of this year whereas AT&T will launch the similar service by the mid the next year.

There is a rumor that Apple is holding the release of Verizon iPhone 4 until Verizon opens its 4G network.
In simply words, there are chances that Apple iPhone will be first 4G network supported phone on Verizon Wireless. If Verizon plans to launch its 4G service in 2010 than it means that Verizon iPhone 4G is also coming in few months. Sci-Tech Today reported that Verizon had licensed 700-MHz spectrum from FCC which it will use for its fast data service. The website also said that wireless carrier could release LTE technology based Apple iPhone.
Verizon iPhone has remained in news and rumors since Apple launched iPhone 4. Both Apple and Verizon have not commented on the possible launch of Verizon iPhone 4. However major nets outlets including Bloomberg and TheStreet.com have already reported that Apple will release Verizon iPhone 4 around the shopping season of 2010.
