It looks as though rumours of a CDMA version of Apple’s iPhone 4 are finally coming to fruition with news that Chinese phone maker Pegatron is set to begin production of the phone in November 2010.

A report on Digitimes.com says that Pegatron is expected to make between 3-4million CDMA versions of the controversial phone with as many as 10million produced during 2011.
AppleInsider says that one analyst at Susquehanna Financial Group is talking of an early 2011 launch (although if the phone is going into production in November, an early 2011 launch isn’t surprising.)
While US telco Verizon’s CDMA network is an obvious option for the new iPhone 4, continued issues between Verizon and Apple are adding support to the idea that the new iPhone may never connect to a Verizon network. It’s being reported that Verizon boss Ivan Seidenberg hopes Apple will eventually release a 4G/LTE version of the iPhone to join Verizon’s latest network which is said to begin operation later this year.
