iOS 4.1 Helped to Improve the Speed on iPhone 3G

iOS 4.1 very well succeeded the way it was expected. iPhone 3G performance significantly improved while running on iOS 4.1 in a formal speed test.

Lifehacker has come up with a video which is clearly depicted a comparison between an iPhone 3G running on iOS 4.0 and one running on iOS 4.1. In this test which is shown side-by-side, iOS 4.1 best s iOS 4.0, sometimes by as much as 10 seconds. UI responsiveness was quite noticeable in this test. The UI for iOS 4.1 is “didn’t get stuck nearly as much” on interface elements or when entering text.

On Wednesday Steve Job announce that the iOS 4.1 will be available from September 8th. Steve jobs clearly mentioned on that day the the iPhone 3G performance bug will be fixed properly through this iOS update. Proximity sensor and Bluetooth fixes are waiting for a proper attention since long and will be fixed effectively through iOS 4.1 update.

Most of the users that were upgraded to iOS 4.0 on their iPhone 3G experienced serious slowdown of their phones and in July Apple responded in this connection and mentioned as it was aware of the reports and looking into the matter in Wall Street Journal. Some of the features as multitasking, data protection were disabled on the iPhone 3G due to iOS 4.0.
