iOS 4.1 jailbreak: New update not sufficient, may need iOS 4.2 at the earliest. new iOS jailbreak for all devices hits the market

On heels of iPhone Dev-Team, a commercial firm announces a jailbreak for iOS 4.1, iOS 4.2 and iOS 2.x on various platforms. The jailbreak that was announced in a press conference on Saturday can be used not only to jailbreak iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, but also to unlock the devices.

It seems that the commercial team’s jailbreak is more advanced than the Dev Team’s. Because, it will work on more iDevices, than Dev-Team’s jailbreak, which will play only on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G running on iOS 4.0 / 4.1.

Besides, the new jailbreak can also be used to unlock a device. Apart from jailbreaking function, the exploit will also carry supportability to unlock a device. Both the jobs can be done in a few simple and hassle free steps. This will make the new jailbreak wonderful and perfect, sources said.

Apple has always been hunted by jailbreakers whenever it released a new product. This is what happens in the case of its latest iOS updates. Apple might be feeling it quite bad to see separate firms coming up with several jailbreak tools.

It was then some fuel was poured by the Library of Congress by legalizing iPhone jailbreaking. The already existing jailbreaking market was nourished up when it was made legalized by the Copyright Office authority. Apple will have to take some more vivacious steps to defend threats from jailbreakers. Otherwise, what will lose is its so-called closed-market technology.

Touchy, by Inventor Dan Zen, is an iPhone / iPod touch game available at the Apple App Store that encourages physical and social play. The rules of Touchy are simple: players try to physically touch each other’s screens without letting their own screen be touched.

The mobile mediated game provides a target for each device and a timer that each player activates at the same time. The more a player’s screen is touched and held, the more points they lose. The player with the most points left when time is up is the winner. Game duration and player handicap can be set. Wins, ties and losses are listed and totaled. The game has been designed so that there is no need for Internet connection, making it portable to play with friends in any location.
