White iPhone 4 release: All we want for Christmas…

We know how many of you are still hanging out for that White iPhone 4 and there’s a hint today, albeit small, that it may be with you in time for Christmas.

We’ve spoken many times of the rumors of the release of the White iPhone and know how many people were disappointed when neither that, or in fact a Verizon iPhone were mentioned at the Apple Event earlier this month. The only thing that anybody’s heard for some time of a White iPhone release was previously when Apple said ‘later this year.’

We also gave you a teaser to keep you going, of a White iPhone being unboxed and actually a short time ago posted an article about how we felt it would be sure to be out in time for Christmas. Now it appears that the possibility of the White iPhone getting into your Christmas stocking is a little greater today after news from Phones Review, sourced from Mobilesdna. The reports surrounds an e-mail that was sent to Apple’s Steve Jobs from a student Apple fanboy called Nathan.

The high school student from San Bernardino says he is one of Jobs’ biggest fans and asked the question many of us would have liked to ask directly to Steve Jobs by saying, “I know you must be asked this question hundreds of times a day but do you think we can expect to get the white iphone for xmas?” Now there’s no proof that the answer he received was not a fake as that has happened before, but we must also point out that Steve Jobs does take it upon himself to answer the odd e-mail or two personally. The answer that professes to be from THE Steve Jobs simply read, “Christmas is later this year.”

We still can’t work out why Apple is so reluctant to reveal any wider information about the release of the White iPhone but if this reply is genuine it does appear unlikely that the iPhone won’t be on the shelves in time for Christmas.
