Android Market Support Extended to 20 More Countries, 18 Other Coming Soon? [Google Announces “More Countries, More Sellers, More Buyers” for the Android Market]
Just like we told you a short while ago Google is ready to expand its Android Market support to more and more countries.
The move is not only targeting international Android phone owners who will be able to buy paid apps from their home country but also international Android developers who will be able to create new apps for the Android universe.

The move isn’t really surprising is it, especially since Android is growing more and more popular in the USA and other markets Adding support for “more countries, more sellers and more buyers” is only logical and will help Google not only make more cash from its Android app store but also increase the number of apps available in the Market as more developers will be encouraged to create new apps, paid apps included.
Google has announced that developers in “20 more countries can now sell paid apps on Android Market” These countries are: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.
That’s definitely not enough, is it? So, over “the next 2 weeks, users in 18 additional countries will be able to purchase paid apps from Android Market.” These 18 countries are: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, and Taiwan.
Some of you may not be happy to find out that your country is still not going to get support for Android Market paid apps yet or that you won’t be able to develop such paid apps for the Android Market yet. The good news is that Google is working on expanding support in the following months so stick around for more details about the Android universe, Android Market included.
