Apple Q4 2010 Earnings Call on Oct. 18 will show how fast the iPad really sells and where the iPhone 4 stands

The Apple Q4 2010 Earnings call is scheduled for October 18th 2pm PDT. Both the iPad and the iPhone 4 sales numbers will be very exciting to know.

Last week an analyst report appeared from Bernstein Research (CNBC) appeared that suggest that the iPad is the fastest selling electronic product. Bernstein estimates that Apple sells 4.5 million iPads per quarter.

What we know from the Apple Q3 numbers is that the iPad sold 3.27 million units in the first quarter on the market. The Q4 sales numbers of the iPad would make it official that indeed the iPad is the fastest selling gadget ever.

For the iPhone 4 it is about to show its current stand against the Android and BlackBerry competition. A report from Nielsen last week sees Android on top for new smartphone buyers in the United States.
