Apple had said iOS 4.2 for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch would launch in November. But iOS 4.2 ran into some trouble and Apple has pushed back its initial rumored launch date — November 12. Apple is now believed to unveil iOS 4.2 on November 24, according to a report.
Although Apple has announced November as the month, it still remains tight-lipped about the day of iOS 4.2 software update’s launch. But according to a “reliable source close to Apple”, Telegraph reports Apple will take the wraps off iOS 4.2 on November 24.

It is believed that iOS 4.2 is delayed due to Wi-Fi issues and Apple’s rolling back the launch date for time needed to fix the iOS 4.2 bug.
iOS 4.2 will fix bugs that crept into iOS 4.0 and 4.1 software release. For iPad, the new iOS 4.2 will bring new features like folder support, and the ability to arrange and sort your apps. Apart from faster multitasking, multitasking between different apps without restarting them is also a big feature touted in iOS 4.2.
