iPhone users are loyal, Youku leads in downloads, App helps users track healthcare benefits

Reuters has posted a story that claims smartphone users are not loyal to their brand of device with one notable exception. Apparently, a survey of smartphone users from around the world found that 59% of iPhone owners plan to stick with the iPhone while 56% of other brand owners were “keeping options open.”

Youku is the leading video site in China and its app for the iPhone and iPad is tops in free entertainment downloads on the Chinese iTunes store. The app has been downloaded about 120,000 times amounting to about 9,200 downloads per day.

A company called Buck Consultants has unveiled a new app that helps users keep track of their health insurance benefits. The app will do things like tell the user of certain shots and things are covered saving you from an eternity on hold to check benefits. The full app costs $4.99.
