By the time the iPhone 4 makes its way into the hands of Verizon customers, it’ll be old news.
In fact it’ll be more than halfway to discontinuation, according to Apple’s standard iPhone upgrade calendar.
By early 2011, AT&T customers in the know will be turning thrill nose up at the iPhone 4 as if it were yesterday’s garbage as they instead drool over the upcoming iPhone 5.
But proving that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, Verizon customers are set to lap up the Verizon iPhone 4 as it’s the crown jewel they’ve been awaiting for years.
The fact that the iPhone 4 will already have been on the market for seven months won’t faze Verizon customers, nor will the fact that the iPhone 5 is on its way perhaps soon after.
At this point Apple could offer Verizon customers an iPhone model that’s already been discontinued, and plenty of them would still lap it up.
After all, beggars can’t be choosers – and after years of Verizon customers begging Apple to let them have an iPhone without having to leave Verizon, they’re not about to turn their noses up it whatever iPhone model gets tossed their way, no matter what point in the upgrade cycle.
