Christmas wish-list/myth: Verizon iPhone and CDMA Nexus S.

Currently two of the hottest smartphones today, based on the number of positive reviews, as well as news coverage, the iPhone 4 and Google’s Nexus S. iPhone 4 and Nexus S are not compatible with CDMA networks.

Nexus S: There are some “hush-hush” that Verizon Nexus S (or CDMA version of the Google/Samsung Nexus S) is expected to come soon, but not before Christmas or New Year’s eve 2010. According to a December 7 post of PhAndroid, CDMA version of Nexus S, or the compatible smartphone version for Sprint and Verizon is scheduled to arrive February next year, based on the December 6th tweet of @samfirmware.

Best Buy retails the unlocked and carrier-independent Nexus S units. But T-Mobile sells cheaper Nexus S, and with a monthly plan.

Rumors say Verizon iPhone and CDMA Nexus S will arrive next year.

Verizon iPhone: Another Verizon wish-list goodie, the iPhone. According to 100+ rumors on the internet, the CDMA version (or LTE) of Apple’s smartphone will hit the press room on the first quarter of next year. Some articles even claimed that February is the best month for Verizon iPhone to arrive. One of my favorites is the rumor claiming that Verizon’s iPhone might use LTE instead of CDMA.

Speaking of Verizon and LTE, Gizmodo has posted a photo of a Samsung phone that’s running on Verizon’s LTE network. Is it possible that Nexus S on Verizon will be 4G and not CDMA? To give you a little info, Samsung manufactured the Nexus S.

Let’s just hope that Santa Steve and Santa Google are up on the housetop carrying these phones on Christmas eve. (By the way, “up on the housetop” is the best image on the current Google Doodle).
