Facebook For iPhone & iPod Touch Updated, Still No Facebook For iPad [Facebook Updates Existing iOS Apps Still Hasn't Released iPad Only App]

Considering that Facebook users via iOS apps is apparently numbering well over 55,000,000 it seems a little odd that the social network giant is still so reluctant to release an app that is available for use on the iPad alone.

Instead Facebook continues to tweak the app that is currently supported on the iPhone and the iPod touch. Certainly this particular app can be used on the iPad but it does not have the same functionality as what many believe an app dedicated to the iPad would have. The latest update to Facebook’s iOS app saw improvements in the chat messaging as well as the notification UI. There had also been some reported crashes that this particular update.

Group photos and websites that a certain user is the admin of were also updated and specific problems were fixed. I know it is easier to fix a problem then build from the bottom up, but it is time to get cracking on the iPad app.
