Apple’s IPhone Users Told to Set Recurring Alarm to Receive Wake-Up Calls

Apple Inc. customers depending on their IPhone to wake them up may oversleep this weekend because of a glitch with the device’s alarm clock function.

A fault may prevent one-off alarms from working today and tomorrow, the Cupertino, California-based company said in a statement.

“Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates,” the statement said. “All alarms will work properly Jan. 3.”

Calls to Apple’s Tokyo office outside business hours by Bloomberg News weren’t answered.
