What a difference a month makes. Just a day after the Verizon iPhone was available to customers, three percent of iPhone users made the switch. One month later, Verizon has managed to grab 12.7 percent of that market. So, one in 8 iPhone users can probably hear each other now.

Apple wasn’t at all surprised when people began making the intial leap to Verizon, ditching AT&T’s beleaguered data network. Two weeks ago, AT&T’s Ralph de la Vega made a comment that it was still a little bit too early to see how many people would make the switch. Many factors still come into play, considering that some people are waiting for their contracts to end or are waiting for the next-gen iPhone.
It’s still a bit early, but the number of iPhone users who have gone to Verizon is impressive. In just one month later, advertising firm Chitika announced that the telecommunications company has managed to pull a substantial number of customers from AT&T. The ad firm can measure the number of AT&T and Verizon devices registered on the AT&T’s and Verizon’s network.
However, it’ll still take some time to see if Verizon can sustain the momentum and truly make a dent.
