Apple has just announced details of the Apple WorldWide Developers Conference (WDDC2011) 2011. The event will take place June 6th - 10th in San Fransisco and will cost $1,599 to attend.

Apple are billing the event as “A preview of the future of iOS and Mac OSX”. The key thing to note is that the conference has generally been the place where all the new iPhone models have been unveiled.
The Apple iPhone 3G was unveiled at the WDDC in 2008. the iPhone 3GS in 2009 and the iPhone 4 in 2010. Spotting the pattern is easy and it looks almost certain that the 2011 event will mark the unveiling of the iPhone 5.
Apple’s legal team had a roller coaster of a weekend, winning against Nokia’s attempt to block imports late last Friday, but could potentially lose to Kodak in an estimated $1 billion case.

Nokia’s rejected suit alleged patent infringement against a number of essential iPhone features, including the use of the familiar “wiping” navigation gesture. Mere hours ealier, the same court, the International Trade Commission, revived a previously rejected suit by Kodak, who is seeking massive royalties on patent related to low-resolution previews of still images. The upshot is that Apple is maintaining its King of the Hill status at 2-0 against its eager opponents, but it may drop to an even 1-1, if Kodak wins a reversal.
