Indie developer Quantum Sheep, the makers of titles such as Gravitrixx and Attack of the Kraken!, has announced the release of Air Supply - 1bit Run, a unique run and gun game for iPhone and iPod touch.

With a unique look, feel and sound all its own, and a compelling unlock mechanic, Air Supply breathes new life into run and gun games. Spaceman Sam has been shot down over an alien moon - how far can he run before his Air Supply runs out?

Air Supply is a unique looking, playing and sounding “Run ‘n’ Gun’ game that is sure to get the adrenaline pumping. The game features ‘Spaceman Sam’, shot down and on the run! It utilises the ‘Air Supply’ game mechanic, that means players are always trying to keep their air supply topped up, while it constantly goes down.

This new gameplay mechanic does away with ‘lives’, and adds an edge not found in other running games. Collecting items, shooting enemies, or just running really far will unlock new levels, characters, music, more and even colour!. Additionally, all the graphics in the game are 1bit, as is the music, giving Air Supply a truly unique look, feel and sound that feels both retro and modern at the same time.

Your Air is running out! Ambushed on a standard trade journey between Lave and Diso, Spaceman Sam is shot down by pirates. Now, stranded on an alien Moon, Sam must run for his life, avoiding meteorites, fearsome UFOs and enemies such as robots, aliens, and Space Monkey Zombie Pirate Cyborgs(!), hoping in vain to stay alive long enough to be rescued.
