What do you expect? They’re paid to parse, reparse and revel in every incremental detail of all things Apple. So of course, they’re talking about a potential boost from the expected arrival of that rarest of handsets, the near-mythical white iPhone.
Color us skeptical.
Maynard Um: A number of reports cite sources that a white iPhone 4 is expected to launch as soon as April 27th. Though the date is uncertain to us, we believe a white iPhone is likely and see this as a sales catalyst (similar to new RAZR colors which helped drive sales for Motorola in the past).
Brian White, Ticonderoga Securities: Does a “White” iPhone 4 Really Matter? Yes. Is the “white” iPhone 4 all hype, or could this drive incremental demand? In our view, the purchase of consumer electronic devices is not always a completely rational decision, and people buy Apple products for many different reasons, including status, aesthetics, functionality, quality and the “cool factor.” The delayed launch of a “white” iPhone has created a certain mystique around the product, and we believe certain demographics will find the product appealing. As such, we expect incremental iPhone 4 purchases due to this launch, driven by replacements, upgrades and/or new iPhone 4 purchases. During our travels to Asia, we found quite a bit of interest in a “white” iPhone 4, which could prompt users to make a purchase. China has clearly caught “Apple fever,” and we believe the country is a prime candidate for a “white” iPhone 4. Even with a potential iPhone 5 launch in September, we believe a “white” iPhone 4 could lure consumers to make a purchase.

Let’s be clear about one thing-2D Boy’s World of Goo HD is one of the best puzzle games for the iPad. With a recent update that makes this version of the app run on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and third- and fourth-generation iPod touches, it may be one of the best puzzle games in the App Store.
ould be a complicated maze/structure of some kind. Using your finger, you have to stack the balls up to reach the pipe. Once you get your goo structure to reach the pipe, the pipe will suck up all the goo balls not used to build the structure.
Each level lets you know how many balls need to be sucked up the pipe for you to successfully complete the level. So when you build a structure, you have to do so keeping a certain number of goo balls free for the pipe.
