HTC Droid Incredible 2, Kingdom, MyTouch vs iPhone 5 (plus 2 more phones)

More HTC phones are expected to arrive ahead of iPhone 5.

Looks like HTC is not into stopping its monthly release of smartphones. According to multiple reports, the Taiwan-based company that recently revealed its profit growth and “huge sales,” will release at least five Android smartphones in the next few months.

Apparently, Apple is expected to release one smartphone this year, while HTC will try to challenge Apple with at least 5 to 6 high-end phones, all shipping with Google’s popular operating system, the Google Android mobile OS.

The first phone, and probably the most interesting is the HTC MyTouch 4G Slide also known as HTC Doubleshot. The phone is expected to use T-Mobile’s 4G network, and will be powered by at least 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. Yep, like the much-anticipated HTC Sensation 4G that T-Mobile is also scheduled to sell this quarter. According to PocketNow, the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide is also expected to support 3D playback and will sport a powerful 8 megapixels back camera for shooting HD videos of up to 1080p, and display capacitive touchscreen size of 3.7 inches diagonal.

Two other HTC Android phones, the HTC Kingdom and the HTC Rider are also expected to arrive this year. Like other previous HTC phones, the names are very interesting, knowing that the world recently celebrated the Royal Wedding in United Kingdom. No information yet about the HTC Kingdom and HTC Rider’s technical specifications, but I guess it will ship with Android Gingerbread, the latest Android version for smartphones that supports faster web browsing and gaming experience.

So far, at least 5 HTC smartphones are expected to rival the iPhone 5. First, and the most powerful is the HTC Thunderbolt that supports Verizon LTE, then T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G that will sport a new HTC Sense UI alongside 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and the three HTC phones that I mentioned above. Want more HTC phones? Well, Verizon and AT&T will sell at least two more, the HTC Droid Incredible 2 and the HTC Inspire 4G.
