It’s rumor mill time.
We’ve been hearing from various sources the speculation bouncing around the Internet that there will be no iPhone 5 this year. What’s more, we’ve been hearing that the iPhone iteration that will be released this year, what’s has quickly become known as the iPhone 4S (or maybe the iPhone 4G) won’t appear at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference this summer, but rather will be announced in the fall.

But WWDC, the traditional announcement event for the iPhone, is just two weeks away (June 6), and new rumors are starting to circulate – rumors that suggest that this new iPhone could, in fact, make a summer debut.
The iPhone 5 generates no end of speculation, and it seems that every move that Apple makes these days in some way will be connected to the premier iDevice. There’s reports that Apple has put in orders for 300 glass-cutting machines to make curved glass for the upcoming iPhone 5.

What it would be used for is tough to say, but the iPod nano did use curved glass for its display, so perhaps Apple is leaning toward that for the new iPhone? The Nexus S also uses a curved display to enhance readability.
