iPhone 5 may land in three wireless carriers in United States, but can the new Apple strategy stop the insane growth of the Android platform?
Majority of the iPhone 5 release date rumors still say that the device will land in September-October season, which is also the months where the upcoming popular Android devices with dual-core processor, better cameras and Random Access Memory are expected to arrive, with some even ahead of the rumored iPhone 5 announcement date of around week 4 of September.

Some of the devices that are expected to arrive in US are the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Motorola Droid Bionic and other unannounced devices like the HTC Vigor and the Motorola Droid HD. All these devices are equipped with the dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, and the latest version of Android operating system, the Gingerbread 2.3.
Apparently, the internet world can’t just stop talking about the rumor that Sprint Nextel is Apple’s newest partner, and the carrier will offer the iPhone 5 and the current iPhone 4 alongside AT&T and Verizon Wireless. The Sprint iPhone is most probably the newest strategy of Apple to compete against the Android platform, and its newly found power, the Long Term Evolution.
Rumors say the Sprint iPhone 5 would not include WiMax, and the speculations are based on previous Apple device, the Verizon iPhone 4 that doesn’t offer “compelling” features like LTE or faster RAM. The Verizon iPhone 4 was first sold in February of this year, which is more than 6 months late of the original iPhone 4 launch by AT&T.
Devices running Android are also arguably more capable than iOS, and new features like LTE, fancy accessories including Motorola’s laptop dock, and other new polishing like thinner design and better screen resolution with under the hood RAM and processing improvements. Can the iPhone 5 still create “a shock” knowing that dual-core processors and other technology-centric goodies are already available in the Android community?
