McAfee unveils iPhone Anti-theft mobile application

We all know that McAfee is one of the leaders in personal computing antivirus software manufacturing, and has been for years. Taking their fight against crime to the mobile apps marketplace, McAfee recently debuted their WaveSecure iPhone application which is designed to help iPhone owners protect sensitive data and their privacy just in case there Apple device is lost or stolen. With so many iPhones looking the same, I have personally laid my phone down and picked up a friend’s when I was headed out of town. Neither one of us realized what happened before it was much too late.

Now, my friends are my friends because I can trust them. But it’s nice to know that the new McAfee WaveSecure app can protect my security and privacy against those prying eyes intent on securing things like passwords and financial data from my handset. There is no denying the power of the mobile marketplace. The fact that McAfee is wisely moving into this area of expertise proves that mobile is the wave of the future in all software and hardware consumer-electronics applications.

The anti-theft Apple app is available in English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Spanish and Russian. The WaveSecure app is available in the Apple App Store for $19.99.
