iPhone launch creates long lines
SUBMITTED Customers wait in line Friday for the launch of the new iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 at the C Spire Wireless store on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
The company said customers throughout the service area camped out overnight or arrived before the stores opened at 7 a.m., two hours earlier than normal.
“It was an epic day,” said Dave Miller, media relations manager for C Spire Wireless. Though no sales numbers were released, Miller called Friday ‘a record-setting day for us.’
