iPHONE users can now get all the essential news, views and information about Henley direct to their phone thanks to the launch of the new Henley Standard Lite app.
The app, which is available at the App Store and currently free, showcases the key features of the Standard’s current website in an easy-to-read format for users of the iPhone.
Narin Bahar, the Standard’s new media strategist, said: “We know from our website audience figures that the majority of phone users viewing the Henley Standard site do so from an iPhone, so it made sense for this to be our first mobile app.
“Just like our award- winning website, the app includes all the essential parts of the paper, including news, sport, business, jobs, classifieds and much more.”
Neil Ratcliffe, managing director of Higgs Group, publisher of the Henley Standard, said: “We’re very proud of the app, which is just the first in a raft of new digital developments planned by the Henley Standard for 2012.
“The print version of the Standard is the first and comprehensive stop for all the news and information you need about Henley and we want to ensure that, through our websites and mobile apps, our readers can access our online content while on the move.”
The company is planning a relaunch of the popular Henley Standard website and an epaper and apps for other devices including the iPad.
