Information has surfaced regarding the forthcoming sale of the iPhone 3G in Wal-Mart and select Sam’s Club locations beginning on December 28th.
With this development, Wal-Mart becomes the second third-party dealer to be authorized for iPhone 3G sales. The launch will consist of 2,500 Wal-Mart locations and 69 Sam’s Club locations that do not feature RS Solutions kiosks (Radio Shack managed sales kiosks).
The device will also be exclusively sold in-store only and AT&T will be providing additional training and assistance to Wal-Mart on the activations end as well as live demo units before the nationwide launch for certain locations.
What is not known at the moment is if AT&T and Apple will allow Wal-Mart to exercise their discount power as was demonstrated with sales of the T-Mobile G1 by undercutting T-Mobile’s contract price by $38.88 from the $179.99 price given at corporate stores and online.

If your looking to unlock the iPhone 3g, be warned there are hundreds of sites on the net missleading you into thinking you can unlock your phone by using there software.
YOU CAN NOT UNLOCK THE IPHONE 3G USING SOFTWARE YOU DOWNLOAD.
The only way you can use your iPhone 3g on another network is by using a device which you place in the phone with your sim card.
It’s so easy its unbelievable. However it took a lot of searching and a lot of wasted money on sites that guarantee that they can unlock the iphone 3g by software when they can’t.
If search the term “iphone 3g unlocking” on google there are a lot of sites claiming they can, they are simply wording it right to mislead you into purchasing there software .
This is a comparision of all the devices which work . The best one we have tested is the Any-Network ( http://www.any-network.com ) device. It’s pricey but well worth the extra dosh.
