Rumors that Sharp will no longer manufacture and provide display screens for iPad 3 started to come out in the early parts of this year. Sharp has been the major producer and developer of Apple’s high density display screens for quite a period of time. It is also said to be the manufacturer of the screen that will be utilized on the latest iPad version, the iPad 3.
But, recently, there is a growing speculation spreading in blogs and articles over the internet saying Sharp was not able to meet the specific and exact needs of Apple during the display’s initial operation. This rumor overshadowed the ones about the exact release date of iPad 3.
Patently Apple, a website that talks about news and updates on iDevices, shared the report it obtained from Electronic Times Internet News, a website based in Korea, that Sharp will no longer be a part of the development project of iPad 3. The responsibilities of creating the device’s display will already be given to two other famous electronic and appliance manufacturers and distributors which are Samsung Electronics and LG.
When I first caught wind of the Meizu MX, I have to say I was skeptical. That’s because Meizu is known in gadget circles, and especially to iOS fanboys, as that evil Chinese company that copies Apple designs to create its own Android handsets.
Serious Android adherents, though, the sort who spend time loitering in dark corners of the Internet and seedy tech forums like XDA Developers (a great resource, by the way), have a different view of Meizu. To these bold folk, Meizu is a daring champion of innovation with the mission of proving that what Apple does is nothing special. In fact, Android phones can do much more than iPhones, with just as much flash and polish.
